Penguin Pickpocket
A submission for the 2026 Bigmode Game Jam. Play as a street-smart penguin and strike it rich by pickpocketing your fellow featherless citizens!
The theme for this jam was "Slick", something we incorporated in a few ways. For one, the Player has a belly slide that gives them slick movement. They also need to avoid guards and carefully pickpocket NPCs, giving them a gameplay loop where they need to be slick to remain undetected. Finally, the game has a very jazzy theme to it, which is known for having a slick feel.

What a neat game! I feel like this is the perfect level of development for a game jam. A nice little proof of concept, with fun mechanics, killer music, and adorable models. I would love to see this become much more than it currently is! Hoping to see this among the finalists for the Bigmode Game Jam :3

Very nice! Took me a second to find the instructions - but once I did it was a good time. The art looks great, those little animations are amazing. The music when they're trying to get you is so epic! Love that there's that 100 fish incentive, it did get me to play a few extra rounds hehe. Slick!
I should have placed the how to play to be the first screen at the first start actually that would have been a good idea!
Artist and the musician are a bit too epic, they produced much much more than what could be used!
